A few weeks ago I received an email from the Chair of the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the American Guild of Organists
They run an annual Bachathon. A what? A Bachathon… it’s an all day music festival celebrating the musical genius of the composer Johann Sebastian Bach.
They wanted to produce a small pamphlet for the younger Bach enthusiasts. A kind of fact sheet/puzzles/colouring sheets etc.
Plus they wanted permission to use one of my cartoons as part of it!
I was flattered and also delighted that they had the decency to ask permission to use it.
Of course, I agreed immediately. Anything that gets kids fired up about the Arts at a young age is a good thing in my book.
Nearly forgot, here’s the cartoon. Originally published (I think?) in The Times metro section… many, many moons ago!
Regards,
ROLFE
