I have reason to believe that this news is about to be leaked by the Hollywood press.
So, I wanted to be the first to share this exciting news with you – fans of the Mighty Monocle.
Mighty Monocle the movie has been optioned!
Yes, you heard it here first.
I can also reveal that a major Hollywood star has already approached the production company about the possibility of a leading role in this movie.
For now I’d prefer to keep his identity a secret. But I can give you a clue…

If all goes to plan the movie will be released in theatres, 1st April 2013 – you’d be a fool to miss it!

Afternoon,
Is it nearly Christmas? You’d think so, what with all the decorations, mince pies, christmas puddings and other festive paraphernalia already creeping into the shops.
This cartoon is only, ever so slightly rude. Hence, it was published in Punch Magazine many moons ago!
Punch then were definitely in the market for slightly rude. In fact they were even in the market for blatantly rude.

This is a very old cartoon, it was drawn in the very late 80’s. At the time Saddam Hussein was suspected of having stocked up on W.M.D’s.
Now, we all now how that turned out.
To be honest, I don’t know if it was ever published. But, I suspect not.

When I trawled through my old cartoons this still made me chuckle, even 12-13 yrs after I originally drew it.
Sadly, this was cartoon was never published. But at least I can now share it with you.

Another ROLFE Redux for your enjoyment.
This particular cartoon was yet another Times Metro cartoon. The editor of that section was very good to me, and seemed to get my kind of humour.
Interesting fact alert! I was contacted by Garbage’s UK promotion team, and they actually bought the original to give to the band as a gift!
How about that?
It’s probably gracing the wall of an en-suite toilet in a palatial Los Angeles mansion, as I write this post!

This week’s fantastic Fan Art is from Joel Poirier, creator of strippedcomics.com
Joel is a graphic artist from Ottawa, Canada.
Joel has been creating his own comic book characters for 20 years, including “Captain Jackass”, “Bear & Turtle” and “Bananapants”.
However, Stripped Comics is his most ambitious project to date. It’s 5 superhero webcomics taking place in the same city, with overlapping storylines, to create a large satirical comic book world.
Well, what else can I say?
1. Anyone from Canada gets a big thumbs up from me, beautiful place, nice people and some fantastically talented artists. Some of which I’ve already had the pleasure of mentioning here (Don).
2. He draws superheroes, welcome to the club!
3. He also updates at least 3 times a week! 3 TIMES A WEEK… I can go off people, very quickly!

This pocket cartoon was also published in ‘The Times – Metro section’. I actually got quite a few published in this supplement. Until the then editor decided to go off to try and FIND himself in India. Naturally they FOUND a New Editor, new rules, no cartoons.
Surprisingly, I actually SOLD the original of this to the band! It was intended as gift from their management company to the band. Stranger things have never happened… AGAIN!
